Help finding oval center stone

That’s a nice AGS report, the red across the belly is really nice. Can’t wait to see pictures.

Thank you! I take horrible pictures though. I might be putting it in an art deco setting and will try to post pics when I do.

Wow that's awesome! What were you scrolling through that let you find it and see the ags report attached?
 
Nice to have the optical symmetry pics- I was using the gcal cert filter to view the light performances

I used the advanced filters and put in the recommended % for table and depth, and the color,clarity and tcw I was aiming for. It took lots of scrolling but, as @Karl_K told me, they are out there!
 
Been perusing GIA cert ovals seems like a few of them have the AGS report but are $$$
Found this one it’s steep $

Hmm it looks fine but I think if you're gonna spend the big bucks it might be worth getting a gcal 8x to see how they compare. Been thinking about doing it myself haha - frank darling and adiamor have a filter for them
 
Also super curious how the at home aset compares to that cert one though so either way would be fun for science lol

Yea- not ordering that AGS report oval from my last post- it's out of my budget and I like the "hunt" of finding a nice oval. So I was using stonealgo algorithm for comparison - irony is the oval you recommended came in with a highest score for quality and price/value so we will see when i have them in front how it comes together. I may include 1 more oval to the mix
 
found this one modified brilliant- funky over exposed and tempted to get it just to see how modified brilliant performs. After watching the 360 a few times see the facets

It’s probably the nicest one thus far over the past few months but not a 4 main. Haven’t done the ASET yet - not sure if I becoming overly focused on the bow tie… would be interested to hear folks opinions. It will be set to match my eternity band and sit flush so I can wear both on one hand. My ring size 8.25

I like it :) You should test it in all kinds of lighting but definitely a good option for an 8 main
 
Interesting, the 5.03 modified brilliant looks just like the 4.03 from the video! Do you notice a difference in the sparkle/have a preference after seeing them both in person?

I think that 4.03 4 main looks woooonderful!! Such a good size & proportion on you too! Doesn't seem to have a dark center like some of the 4 mains I've found. the 5 looks good too from what I can tell!

the 5.03- it is a big stone and doesn’t blow me away…I keep seeing a “windowing” in the quadrants and the size of it might be a bit over the top for me.
The 4.03 does sparkle - from the beginning I liked it. I’m likely keeping the 4.03

Hey! I decided to go with one of the overseas vendors reddit recommends because of some tight budget right now. It was half of DKs estimate which hurts because I LOVE DK but I was laid off a month before giving birth so figured I should do the cheaper project for now.

My stone just arrived in China to be set, they wouldn't start the CAD until it arrived for some reason (probably because I wanted the basket to be super molded to the exact stone) but they are starting it as of this morning!

Whats your CAD look like so far!?
 
I also ended up with the 3.03 CT instead of the 3.5. Both were beautiful but that 3 just was perfect and the smaller size felt better for not being self conscious about daily wear for now. Was a really tough decision though because the bigger one was sooo gorgeous haha.

How exciting the project is moving forward- I’m on Reddit too. Sorry to hear about the job that stinks.
This is the latest CAD … diamonds on the band need to be 3/4 eternity. My goal was to have it compliment my wedding band so it can been worn on 1 finger since I don’t wear of jewelry.

I actually sent him my band so we can get the scale correct. And he’ll polish it - it certainly needs it.

Ohhh so pretty! I LOVE the u shaped prongs on the side stones, much prefer those over the typical gallery rail ones because you get to see more diamond from the side!
