Hello! I am in search of a setting after proposing to my girlfriend with a temporary setting (much thanks to the members here for helping me find the diamond!). We are still exploring our options but one ring that caught our eye is this six-prong cathedral pavé:

The problem with this ring however is that it can only handle up to 1.99 ct. and my fiancee's diamond is a touch over 2 ct. It would also be preferable if the pavé showed less metal between the diamonds.

If anyone has any recommendations or suggestions, please do share!

Keep in mind that Vatche can customize their designs to hold larger center stones. Your jeweler just has to contact them and ask for pricing.

This looks like the Royal Crown with pave. I have the 3 stone Royal Crown and my center stone is 2.02 cts. I believe GOG contacted Vatche to customize the setting for my AVR center (and side stones).
Like Winks Elf said, your vendor should be able to contact them and get a quote to customize it for your stone.

Congratulations on your engagement and your beautiful diamond, which I just read about in your other thread!

The setting you posted, the Vatche Felicity Pave, is beautiful! I fell in love with the non-pave version when I first saw it (on-line; haven't seen it in person).

Please note the width of the ring is quite narrow. In another thread, an experienced PS member mentioned she'd be concerned about the ring being so narrow. You might want to ask Vatche to make the shank wider than the stated 1.9 mm. Hopefully, others will chime in on whether this is something you need to consider, but I think 2.0-2.5 mm (which is still quite narrow) might be less prone to getting bent out-of-round. Your metal choice would be a factor, but I'd want the experts to chime in on this.

By the way, you did great picking out an amazing diamond and deciding to have your fiance involved in the setting choice! :appl:

I have this very ring that is set with a 2.21 CBI diamond. I have been wearing it since 2014 as a rhr with no problems with integrity although the botton of the shank is scrarched from use as a rhr. WF should be able to get one made to fit your exact diamond.20141205_150933.jpg engagement-standing.jpg engagement-side.jpg smx profile 2014-12-09 11.45.53.jpg

cflutist, that's so good to know! I really love that setting but did wonder if the width might be a problem. Of course, I think I can be a bit of a klutz so that's a factor for me. :lol-2:

Your ring and CBI is perfection!

I never tire of seeing photos of your ring. Breathtaking! Gorgeous! Stunning! Love it! :appl:

Thank you for your kind words. If you look at the bottom of the shank it is as thick as it is round which is nice for durability. The taper is only on the top which enhances the center diamond in my opinion.
