Help Finding A Cushion

I have been a reader of ps forum for a while. I am in the market for an antique style cushion and would love the advice and help from the board.

BUDGET: 7000 - 7500
1.5 - 1.80 C
I do not mind the warmth of a little color ( J -K ) fine with me.
VS2 - SI1
I do not have to have a branded stone, but want lots of chunky faceted fire.
Want 8 pavillion
What am I forgetting?

I would appreciate any stone suggestions and/or links.

chunky facets are usually 4 main pavilions, 4 minor pavilions, else the facets are not large enough to be chunky.

Huh??? Chunky cushions are 8 mains.

To the original poster, if you don't want the premium of a branded cut and wouldn't mind a generic cushion .. you can also try contacting Perry/Leon. I have found their prices to be the lowest for a generic cushion.

I am not aware of multiple definitions of pavilion mains but I could be wrong. This is what I am using as the basis of facet definitions.

Mains reach the culet... some cushions have 4 and some have 8

You got linked to the GOG AVC which are about the only easy to find nice chunky cushions. It is best if you contact Leon/Perry directly and tell them your specifications. They have access to a cutter that doesn't sell their stones with the virtual diamond inventory. If you prefer, you can also contact ERD and price shop but based on what I have seen Leon/Perry was cheaper. However, there are elements you can't put a price on - ie. how you feel with the vendor.

Charmy and Cehrah are correct mains start at the culet, and in the Brilliant style extend from the culet to the girdle plane.
Both of these have 8 pavilion main facets.



This is in contrast to a 4 main pavilion structure.(This one happens to be a modified brilliant as extra facets have been added one highlighted in red)
