Looking to get a preferably lab grown in any of these shapes Oval,Round and Radiant in the 3-4 carat range. Below are a couple options from a jeweler of choice. Can you please help me with selecting. I love all these 3 shapes but need a better cut quality diamond. I’m very new to this and some of the nuanced differences have made it a real challenge to feel confident in making a good choice. So need your input. Thanks!

Can you share the report numbers?

Thanks for your reply:) jeweler did not provide any other details it he told me all are certified.

can I ask?

But only seeing 360 which one seems good? Asked him the report :)

If you don’t mind me asking what’s your opinion on HPHT vs CVD ?

I'm not well-versed on fancies, but the first round seems promising.

You can find good stones with either method. I personally prefer HPHT because I feel like an HPHT with no blue nuance is the closest thing to a natural diamond.

most links aren't working for me, unfortunately

If you don’t have a strong preference over shape and not comparing stones in person, rounds would be the easiest to shop for.

Hello and welcome to PriceScope, KYS!
Do you mind sharing the price range for these diamonds?
Most of us have a pretty good handle on what is considered a fair price per carat from the various tiers of sellers.

I’m also tilting towards round. If you don’t mind me asking which round you like the most? 1 HPHT or 4 CVD (above links)

1 looks better than 2 - I found the grading report number for 2: LG614327921 - and it's not proportioned very well, unfortunately. Quite a ring of leakage under the table due to the 40.9/36 PA/CA pairing.

I found the grading report for diamond 1

I suspected it has a shallow pavilion angle based on what I was seeing in the video, and I can now confirm that it does.

It's listed for under $2200

Nice sleuthing, DejaWiz!

KYS, I think you can do better than these for rounds at least.

wow you’re awesome I'm a complete newbie who only learnt about the 4C's a week before lol. So I should ask him for more options?

Yes, I recommend requesting an HPHT without blue nuance with safer proportions such as these:

depth 60-62.4%
table 54-58%
crown angle 34-35 degrees (can go up to 35.5 if paired with 40.6 pavilion)
pavilion angle 40.6-40.9 degrees

I should stick with HPHT or CVD can work? Because my jeweler has more options in CVD.
looking a nice stone.

This one looks amazing, Kim N!

Do you think I should get this one and setting it locally? Can I ask my jeweller to set the ring only with my bought diamond? Do you think this will offend him ?

It doesn't hurt to ask. Many will set outside diamonds, though there are some who won't.
