Hi all! I posted recently to get suggestions on specs to look for for my first pair of diamond studs. After contacting a few different jewelers I've had the most luck with IDJ. Yekutiel sent me information on two pairs to decide between. I have the GIA certs, ASET, Ideal Scope and image of the diamond for each. Please help me decide between the two! Here is the first pair:

Here is the second pair. Thanks for your input!

They certainly look visually and per tables and mm are a nice match.

Love the second pair!

Oh, I responded before the 2nd pair was posted. Do you know if the inclusions on that SI1 are eye clean?

love the 2nd pair. The first stone from the first pair is the one I don't like.

What is it about that particular stone that you don't care for? (It looks like the proportions are practically identical). What am I missing? Thank you!

I just don't prefer the look. I can't quite explain it, but the middle "circle" where the arrows all begin looks wider and less precise than the others, which makes the arrows less clear. But again, that's just a preference. I'm not saying the stone is "Bad", it's just something I don't love (especially compared to the 2nd pair which I like).

Ah, yes... I now see what you are referring to.

I'm someone who likes well-defined arrows and a smaller "inner circle"--whatever that's actually called.

I checked the HCA and the first pair are 2.5/2.6 and the second set are 1.2 and 1.6. so that made me a little worried about the first pair.

That would just solidify my choice to go with the 2nd pair.
