Help choosing diamonds for proposal

PA of 40.6 is ok with CA of 35 or 35.5.

If they are the same price and have a similar Idealscope or ASET image, I'd go with the VVS. Both have a cloud as a clarity setting characteristic. It shouldn't be an issue with VS, but I've never seen a VVS where the cloud was a problem.

Has Fourmine said if they will provide and IS or ASET image?

Just called them asking the ASET/IS images for all the diamonds on top of the 360 videos/pictures and whether any of the inclusions are problematic, the following are the details:
1. https://www.fourmine.com/index.php/...ce=rarecarat&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=2017
0.71ct J VVS2 MED HCA0.9 $1684
D:61.3 T:57 CA:35 PA:40.6
ASET/IS images are not available, 360 videos/pictures are available. They note that inclusions were not a problem, hence it's graded as VVS.

2. https://www.fourmine.com/index.php/...ce=rarecarat&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=2017
0.70ct J VS2 NONE HCA0.9 $1709
D:61.5 T:57 CA:35 PA:40.6
ASET/IS images are available. Inclusions were very minimal and not noticable.

3. https://www.fourmine.com/index.php/...ce=rarecarat&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=2017
0.73ct J VS2 MED HCA0.7 $1598
D:60.9 T:56 CA:33 PA:40.8
ASET/IS images are not available, 360 pics/videos are available. They don't recommend this one because the inclusions were quite visible for a VS standard and it will affect the light performance of the diamond.

So this left me with the first 2 options and they recommended me to get the 1st one because it has fewer inclusions (VVS2 vs VS2), medium fluor will help the J color and it's slightly cheaper as well for a slightly larger size. Proportion wise, they are very very similar with only 0.2% of a different in the depth, whereas T, CA, and PA are all the same. Which one would you recommend me to get between the 1st two?

I will attach the ASET/IS images of the 2nd option and the 360 videos/pics when they send it to me later...

Again, thank you!

Depends on how the video looks for the VVS. If the video looks good, then I would go with the VVS for the reason stated above by @rockysalamander. Both have cloud as the grade-setting inclusion, but clouds are not an issue in terms of light performance/transparency in VS1 and above. In VS2 it is usually not an issue, but there have been cases where a VS2 with cloud as the grade-setting inclusion had reduced transparency.

Also, could fourmine pull both of the stones for you an compare them in person? It might also be worth asking them which one is the "lower J," meaning more colored, and which faces-up whiter. But they would need to have the stones in hand to make this comparison.

I would definitely go with the .71 J VVS2. Video looks really good.

Congrats on finding a great stone for a great price!
