Help Choosing Diamond for Solitaire Pendant

Hi Guys,

So I am looking to finally add a diamond solitaire pendant to my collection. I am torn between a .83 J WF ACA stone and a .606 E Black by Brian Gavin. Will the Black by BG sparkle more and look visually better even though its smaller? My e-ring is a 1.2 J ACA.

In terms of pendant setting I am thinking of having the stone placed in a 3 prong martini setting in platinum with a yellow gold chain. Do you think a bezel setting is not suited for the black by Brian Gavin? Is the black line truly worth the premium?

I personally wouldn't want that big of a difference in color between my ering and a pendant! Also, I wouldn't want to give up so much noticeable size just to get an E colored diamond, which I think is overkill (my original ering was an E and I upgraded to a larger G, which is still extremely white).

I think the J VS2 option from WF is gorgeous, a great size, price point and would match your ering color and look very white in a pendant. If you want to go higher in color, I'd probably choose one of these (looks like your budget is ~$3k):

I think it's a perfect size to hold it's own in a martini setting - @LLJsmom has a very pretty AVR in a simple basket setting that's .58 and looks elegant, classic and just gorgeous. Thanks a lot for posting the links Their settings are all gorgeous! I am really loving @LLJsmom rose gold chain that 'disappears' with the white metal prongs on the diamond. It truly floats with the focus on the stone. Think I will go with the 3 prong martini
