IS is fine. Those brighter white areas are likely due to ranging pavilion angles (i.e., those particular facets have lower pavilion angles). This seems to be very common in the virtual inventory right now. I don't love this as it shows that the diamond lacks precision in cutting, but at least one of the big suppliers seems to be cutting diamonds this way to get a better GIA rounded pavilion average while saving a bit of weight.
It has good angles and a good IS. To me, it would come down to your comfort with the color. To me, I tend to like higher or lower colors. But, that is me. Have you looked at the new diamond in normal lighting outdoors, florescence and work-type lighting. Lime green sounds like a pretty harsh light to any diamond.
I'm with you on the color of the tint. I prefer a brown to yellow tint. So, it sounds like this one might just suit. I would just try to look at it in the 'normal' lighting you will spend most of your time in.I have not gotten a good look at it outside yet, I will do that soon. As for flourescence and work-type lighting I have not seen it in this type of lighting and will have difficulty doing so unless I find a temporary setting.
My comfort zone is definitely the near colourless range. I in particular. I actually do not like the look of DEF stones as I find them blueish. I also don't love the yellowish tinge of of my EGL "J", which leads me to believe faint brown might actually be the answer for me. I don't want to give on ct weight and definitely not spread. The IF clarity was more of a cool gimmick to me than necessary. I definitely want eyeclean but do not need mindclean. I also really like the skinny arrows of this diamond. I' m not a huge fan of the bolder arrows of an H&A diamond, which is why this stone spoke to me so much.
Oops I meant to comment and then got sidetracked... Are you seeing the color mostly from the side? The setting that you are having reproduced will hide much of the side so your K will appear whiter. IMO it looks gorgeous! I really like the pictures with the light coming in from a window, makes your diamond really fiery. You also mentioned that you prefer skinny arrows so this diamond is a good fit.
At the end of the day, it's up to you and what you can tolerate. It seems like you are questioning it and not that happy?
