Help choose between 2 diamonds please!

Hi everyone!

I really need some help picking this diamond, I have 2 on option but am not sure which one to get. Long story short I have to make this final decision fairly quickly so please help.

Details: my ladies finger size is 7. The 2 diamonds are below. They are both Color I at VS/. Ideal Scope and GIA reports with links to the diamonds provided. They both have good points.

The 1.04:
• Cheaper by $465
• True Hearts

The 1.16:
• Bigger Carat
• very good ideal scope


I guess I want to know which one is worth it more? I don’t mind spending that bit more but only if I’m getting a better diamond. Will the size of the 1.16 benefit the size 7 finger more? Or will the true hearts be cleaner? (Extra note the setting is gold 14K pave. There are 2 diamonds the side of the pave rated in between G-H, I realise this isn’t I color but the James Allen staff assured me it wouldn’t effect it. I think the .2mm size difference will be noticeable, but not hugely so (e.g. someone won't see them and go OMG THAT ONE IS SO MUCH BIGGER!" To help visualize, I am attaching a screenshot from a website that allows you to compare diamond sizes/shapes, etc.

It says that the 1.16 is 7% bigger overall. I can definitely see one as being bigger, but only when they are side by side. I guarantee that if I looked at them one after another I probably would struggle to definitively say which one was bigger. But definitely side by side I can see that the 1.16 is bigger. I personally prefer the visual look of the 1.16, but I certainly don't think you are making a "poor" choice with either one. I feel like I see a tiny bit of leakage in the 1.04, but nothing crazy. But if it were me I'd spend the extra few hundred for the bigger stone that my eyes prefer.

I'd go for the 1.16
The size difference would be noticeable if compared side by side, but not massively. Even if it's not labeled "true heart" it has visible hearts and arrows and it's cut beautifully (and you also get a better deal because of it), I like the cut personally even more than the hearts and arrows 1.04 you're comparing it with. I also prefer the clarity characteristics in the 1.16.
Definitely a winner and it would sparkle beautifully!

I still prefer the 1.16.
This 1.06 has more clouds and a pinpoint. Cut wise the 1.16 is great and I don’t see any reason to prefer the other two smaller stone over it
For sure they all are great diamonds, but if I had to pick I’d stick with my first choice.

I don't dislike the other choice, I just prefer the 1.16

Personally, I also prefer the 1.16ct. The IdealScope looks better overall and the proportions are lovely.
