Help between two diamonds

Thanks to help from users on this website already, I have narrowed down my search of a diamond upgrade to two different stones. I was just about to purchase the stone from WhiteFlash but then Brian Gavin literally just released this one on their website and now I am super torn. I want a 1.5ct D color VS1 or better clarity. I wear my diamond in a classic Tiffany setting so I see it from all angles all the time. I love a good balance of fire and brilliance in my diamonds but do lean more towards fire. Can you help me figure out which one would be better for me based on the available information on their websites? I'd love to hear which diamond you would maybe choose and why if you had to pick.

*note the pavilion angle on BG website is wrong- website says 40.8 but cert says 40.6

hard to choose; any chance you can fly into Hobby Airport and see both in person?

I see the BG isn't available - did you snatch it up?

What a wonderful choice to make, this spectacular diamond or that spectaclar diamond. Good!
I'm a "my eye clean" kind of diamond guy. But in this case I would choose the BG stone because in the WF spin "sparkle" video as the arrow at 4:30 turns black the inclusions become more visible. I completely understand that they would not be seen IRL. In this case I would be "mind clean" also.

I suspect for all intents and purposes, in person, you could not tell those diamonds apart. I might base the choice on who offers the setting you want and terms of the upgrade policy.

And whose vibes you like better! Really you can't make a wrong choice here, either one will be beautiful.

Good point - sometimes in cases like these, you pick the vendor that you would like to deal with!

@Ashley Hoffman, did you make a decision on which diamond you are going to buy?

I wanted to update you on my purchase because I am forever grateful for all your help and recommendations a few months ago!

I ended up purchasing both the BG diamond and the WF diamond simultaneously and had both to compare to each other side by side. I blinded myself to the diamonds and labeled them diamond 1 and diamond 2, and took them to compare in various lighting situations both inside and outside of the home. I did this at least 15 times mixing up the diamonds and relabeling them each time to see which I thought I liked better. Both diamonds were of course stunning, but interestingly enough, I ended up picking the WF diamond 80% of the time when blinded. For whatever reason, it seemed to speak to me more than the other one, at least to my eye. And so I went with the WF diamond even though it was about $800 more expensive than the BG one.

I'm so glad I did go with WF though because they offered a few other things that BG didn't. With WF, I was able to make a custom Tiffany setting with the exact parameters I was looking for using the 900/100 iridium platinum alloy which looks stunning (BG didn't offer this alloy, only 95/5 ruthenium). And I was able to do a custom wedding band with D/E color ACA melee to match the colorless primary diamond (BG only had F/G color melee).

In the end, I am thrilled with the purchase and am very happy with the result. The ring is truly stunning. I think both companies were wonderful overall and very helpful and accommodating. I am forever grateful for the experience, and I would not hesitate to use either company in the future. But for this particular investment, WF was the right choice.

Oh, thanks so much for coming back with your gorgeous rings! They turned out so well and how wonderful that you had two diamonds to choose from in your home. I have always felt that WF tries to accomodate to every extent possible. I have not purchased from Brian Gavin but glad to hear that they were helpful to you as well. Enjoy your rings …they look fabulous!

Well that’s about the perfect way to choose I’d say! Thanks so much for coming to share!
