I'm not sure if I am making this post in the right location, or if this type of post is allowed in general so I apologize if I made a mistake!
I wanted to introduce myself as I am a newbie on the forum, as well as a newbie in the diamond/gemstone industry. Though I am an active consumer and huge fan of gemstones and diamonds, I've always wanted to learn more about my sparkly best friends.
I found this forum through a post on reddit's /r/jewelry, and it praised the knowledgeable posters on this forum for being very helpful with those searching for their perfect pieces and trying to avoid scams. So I took a gander! After a brief lurk, this seems like a fantastically friendly community with a wealth of knowledge. I've always been fascinated with jewelry but have been easily overwhelmed by the amount of information basic searching has given me. I'm hoping after being around for a while, I'll be a person my own friends and family can come to when they need this sort of help. (and it works as a great excuse to window shop.)
I can't guarantee that I won't make a few mistakes posting here, but hopefully I'll get the hang of it sooner rather than later. I look forward to learning some new things. And at the very least, I'll enjoy seeing all of the pretty jewels in the picture threads!
