I am happy to report that my BF proposed to me! We came back from Florida on Saturday after spending sometime with BF''s (can I now say FI) family. I was almost crying because we also spent a good amount of time looking at rings and nothing popped! I see all your beautiful rings and I just became so frustrated, because I just wanted something special and unique. My BF could sense my frustration and just minutes after arriving to our apartment he got down on one knee and proposed. He said that the fact that he did not have a ring available at that very moment did not mean we had to postpone making plans for our future and then he asked me to marry him and "to accept him with all his flaws, because he will always pale in comparison to my perfection in his eyes!" And for some reason I just blurted out what my grandma always tells me, "Love isn''t about finding the perfect person, it''s about finding an imperfect person, perfect!" He laughed at me and then said, "I guess I''ll take that as a yes!"
Well Sunday night I was looking for a missing earring. These were very special to me because my grandfather gave them to me and he died last year. I was beside myself and I then found it. These earrings are Mokume- Gane and very unique. I then went on-line to see if I could get a matching necklace made when I found the most beautiful and unique engagement rings.I showed the site to my FI and said, well it''s done. So we are flying out to Arizona for a couple of days next week (hopefully)to design my rings and his possibly. These have to be fitted correctly the first time, because after they are made they cannot be resized.

I am most interested in the Mokume Embrace in either the palladium or platinum I would like to see both metals before I decide. I believe that someone steered me toward asapphire instead of emerald stone, and I love the look of the sapphire in this setting. I definitely am going with a colored stone.
