Is an HCA necessary for the WF ACA AGS000 stones? Thank you!

Nope. It's a preliminary check for stones that have potentially questionable performance (GIA XXX for example). But not needed with AGS 000, especially not if from a trusted vendor like WF where you get all the advanced images, etc

@lovedogs Thank you! That's exactly what I needed to know ;-)

Nope, all ACA will past the HCA test.

Even though I am well aware that I do not need HCA for a super-ideals, I still run it through for my peace of mind. Sometimes ACA scores half-and half (Ex, Ex, Vg, Vg). I tend to pass on those - again, piece of mind. I am weird like that. :loopy:

All ACA will pass HCA.
Not all AGS000 will pass HCA.

I would not rely on 4X's as being meaningful - that is trying to use HCA as a selection tool and that is wrong.
ACA and HPD are all cut and polished to a standard that does not require HCA as these companies have very high standards and the trade up policies mean that they still often end up re-owning the diamonds they stand behind.
