What''s the difference between an 0.8 and a 1.5 on the Holloway Cut Advisor? I have two stones that are both under 2.0 but is there a benefit the closer it gets to 0 or is anything under 2 a winner? Thanks!

Although the resulting scores are continuous, the HCA is a dichotomous tool. Under 2 means worth considering further. Over 2 means reject. Variations under 2 don''t matter.

No, HCA is a rejection tool not selection. What is the proportion that you use to get the score?

Also, if you have access to idealscope image, that will be the deciding factor.

Thritto - the HCA makes it easy to isolate potentially well-cut stones. To confirm that they perform well you''ll want IS images.

The HCA is used for rejection not selection. All stones scoring below 2 are considered equal pending further evaluation, this is done with images such as Idealscope and trusted vendor/ appraiser advice. A lower score is not better than a higher one.

This link goes into greater detail.

Do you have images such as Idealscope for each diamond please? These will be needed to assist with final selection along with trusted vendor / appraiser advice.
