Having trouble finding someone to Set my stone? (Los Angeles area)

Hi!

I bought my loose diamond online and I'm having a hard time finding someone to set the stone locally? I feel like because they aren't making enough money? They don't want my business? My budget for a setting? Or maybe everyone is just really busy?

Does anyone have any suggestions of reputable places that don't cost an arm and leg? Our budget is $1000-$3000 (trying to stick somewhere in the middle if possible).

This is the setting I'm trying to replicate:

Any help would be greatly appreciated as my fiance is anxious to get this all done (as we have not yet :tongue::tongue::tongue::tongue::tongue::tongue::tongue::tongue:announced our engagement!!)

That settling should be close to 4K

Try David Klass

CVB inspired design did mine

Did you get Stephanie to give you a quote?

Micro pave is expensive, and you are looking at likely a 4-6 week wait most likely

David Klass, don’t even look further.

Stephanie quoted $4500 + $500 Fee = $5000

I had no idea Micropave costed more. I was thinking less because its tiny little diamonds. Thanks so much for the help!! I appreciate your time! I will check out Klass! :)

I found this one!!! I like it even better than Stephanie's because it is daintier!!!
Do you guys think it's TOO dainty? I am in loooooovee!

DK will probably recreate it for 20-40% off the cost advertised. Also, the site doesn’t advertise the measurements of the shank, etc. I am not sure that we can judge the craftsmanship, it could be good or not so great.

Here is something similar that he created in the past. You can ask for modifications and he will make it as desired. https://instagram.com/p/BfyWsFPl3X6/

You know that scout Mandolin looks a bit like @whitewave's ring...but she has an ascher cut instead of a an oval...maybe she can point you to where she had hers done? Though from all the thread's that I've read DK is probably your best bet to stay in budget!

Have you looked at stock setting?

I can totally vouch for DK. I don’t live anywhere near LA, but he just set my loose stone. Amazing to work with and surprisingly affordable!

I’ve emailed his aol email twice and haven’t heard back. Do you know if it takes him awhile to respond? Maybe I ended up in spam! Lol

Thanks!!

OMG I love the artcarved one!!!! Thanks so much for doing the searching for me! I really appreciate it!

JA makes something similar but may not have enough stones going down the shank for you or may not be the quality you are looking for...but I'll post
anyway!

Thanks so much for looking for me!! I really appreciate all the help :)

Sometimes it’s better to call, just give them a call on Monday.

Thanks!!

There were a couple of times I emailed and didn’t hear back. After a couple of days, I emailed again and heard right back. If that doesn’t work, give him a call. Good luck!!
