Have I been duped?

I've recently picked up a "hobby" of purchasing eternity rings off LT and DB to stack with the eternity my husband gave me. I just received one and I've never seen an eternity ring with this kind of setting before. Also, it feels a bit thin (the seller did say it was reshanked). There are no markings on the ring to indicate 14K gold but I understand that this could have been removed in a reshank. I've been testing it with my cheap thermal tester and some stones test as diamonds all the time, a few some of the time and one doesn't (but it's loose) but I know those aren't reliable plus it could be user error. I won't be able to make it to a jeweler until next week so I thought I'd ask opinions here.

Here are pictures of the ring:

Thanks in advance.

I have a half eternity band in yellow gold that looks exactly the same from the side - it is also a shared prong eternity band. Mine has much more wear now on the sides from stacking it. Can't comment on the diamonds of yours but the design on the sides of ring is basically identical to mine. img_5279.jpg img_5278.jpg img_5281_2.jpg

No way to know from pictures. Take it to a jeweler, or loupe it. Look for inclusions in the stones. Make sure it's very clean before doing this. CZ don't have inclusions.

Thanks. I'm glad somebody else has this setting. I was hoping to confirm it was not a setting normally used for fakes. I do not have a loupe but planned to have it checked by a jeweler next week. I don't see any visible inclusions so at least it's eye clean if it is real.

If you are going to be buying pre-loved items, get a loupe. One example above...they are not expensive and are worth every penny
IMO. I bought a set of 10X, 20X and 30X...very useful.
Thank you, great idea. Will be purchasing.

That's definitely a common setting used for eternity rings. And yes, loupes are essential if buying diamond jewelry second hand.
