Hey folks, thanks again for all of the help here. I can''t imagine what decision I would have made without this forum''s input and advice.

For those of you that have been following and helping, a quick update. I have decided to go forward with the stone I received from BN - the 2.035 ct., H SI1 AGS0. I think it is fantastic and was gotten at a very good price - it will be perfect.

So, now I need the setting. Hope you all might be able point me in a good direction:

What I would like (and I know she likes) is a very simple cathedral setting. the one that BN has for stones this size is not really what I am looking for as it has a "basket" ring around the prongs. I would like to get a nice, simple, standard four prong platinum setting that will really show off the diamond without a lot of distraction.

Thoughts and advice?

I''m happy to have the stone decided!

that one does look great - very pretty. Thanks!

I was also thinking of having mark Morrell build something for me... do you think it is worth it for a simple setting?

Love the setting Ellen picked out...simple, classic, and will never go out of style!

He makes exquisite settings--worth it, if it will not be changed in the future. I also love the one Ellen posted.

Mark does beautiful work but it will probably take awhile - don''t know what your timeline is - and it will be considerably more than the one Ellen linked you to. Just depends on what you want, how much time you have, and how much you want to invest in it.

Decisions, decisions. . . it never ends, does it?

The one that Ellen linked to is so beautiful and classic. I think you can''t go wrong with it.
