HARRIET! The ring Gypsy posted is my baby! That square cut step cut sapphire with baguettes (which I normally do not like) surrounding it. Kind of like those earrings I love... Baguettes surrounding sapphires...

Gypsy, who makes that ring? I saw it in a window today on 47th with Harriet and I told her I wanted it in ways unhealthy. It''s just...*sigh*

Unfortunately (or thankfully), a fine fine sapphire is out of my reach for now.

An update on my emerald: It is more likely than not to have a yellow diamond halo. I'm still flip-flopping on making a ring vs. a pendant.

Nicrez, I tried that ring on today. It''s too bulky for me. Also, I don''t like the basket (it has heart-shaped scrolls).

You tried on my baby? Why didn''t you CALL MEE! I would have gone. I think once I find my ideal sapphire (no rush), I will be setting it al la Art Deco Style (but dear Lord no heart shaped scrolls!)

Clearly it was a repro then.

Shame. Thank you for destroying my dream. No thanks.
