Happy Birthday, Marcy. Sorry I am late. I started Duolingo just after 11:30 PM on May 30 and didn't finish my first lesson until after midnight. It wiped off an 11 or 12 day "streak" I had had going and set me me back to day 1. I think that was unfair. I was working before midnight! But I have to admit that I didn't start writing this message to you until after midnight on the 30th. I didn't notice the thread earlier in the day!

Thank you Deb. You did work hard this weekend. My day was relaxing. I slept in, I didn’t go in to work (woo hoo), we went out for supper and my sister and niece visiting from Texas stopped by last night. I picked myself out a new diamond bracelet a few weeks ago and informed my “DH” he picked me out a great bracelet for my birthday so all he had to do yesterday was take me to dinner.

Thank you Gemgirl. Those are very pretty flowers, some of my favorite colors. I traded in some jewelry I wasn’t wearing and got a 4 carat bracelet. I’ll post a picture. I like getting almost 50% from pieces I don’t wear anymore.

Wow, Marcy! That is some bracelet! I have given up hope of a tennis bracelet, but for years I was waiting until I could get one I "really wanted". Sometimes I would prefer not to have an item than to to have one that is less than perfect (would that be "mind clean"?) in my eyes. Your bracelet would definitely have been in the "perfect" category for me!!!

You certainly deserve it!

Thank you Deb. I have a 2 carat with 4 pointers and thought I'd look at a 3 carat. They had the same style as my 2 carat with 6 pointers but it wasn't that much different than what I had. They also had this style in 3 carat with 9 pointers which I was pretty happy with but since I was there I decided what the heck let's see what the 4 carat looks like. It looked great with a cold bracelet I wear a lot so I got this one instead. It seemed huge and heavy at first but I've adjusted. ETA you are very right it's better to wait and get what you want. I have bought way to many pieces I don't wear.
