Handforging halo - questions

Hi everyone,

You all have been remarkably helpful. I am designing a hand forged halo with Mark from BE. He came in at close to $1000 cheaper than SK, and we have some other expenses at the moment so best way to go for us. I have the following specifications,and just want some input

Center diamond is RB 1.5ct. Cushion shaped halo.

Two rows of pave -' not a double halo, but a pave row around the stone and then one on the side of the halo so it sparkles from all directions.

30 degree tilt.

1.1mm melee (I don't know what "pointer" that is)

Melee will match the center diamond color (F)

Plain shank

90/10 platinum iridium blend on the band, 1.8mm

Melee on struts. No melee on donut.

V-cut pave

Link attached - this is the two rows of pave ... Not a double halo, but two rows. If that makes sense.

Sounds good. 1.1 means smaller than one pointers. Which is correct. I personally am not a fan of pave on struts but it's a personal thing.

Mark said we will figure out the struts when he gets to them. I need to look online to see more examples of plain shank halo with/without diamonds on struts. It's not easy to find images of plain shank halos honestly.

1.0-1.125mm = 185-220 per carat...or +/- 0.005 points
1.125-1.2mm = 136-174 per carat...or +/- 0.007 points
Hope this helps...not sure if you'll really care...but someone on PS with a bit of geek in them will find this interesting...
