halos?

I like halo settings but I've been told that a solitaire setting, or a setting with some/limited pave, will showcase a "super ideal" stone and that a halo might distract? Opinions?

I love halo setting too but my fiance hates it. he thinks it takes away the beauty of the center stone and is distracting . so now I think do a halo with a gem stone in the middle or something I do have a solitaire setting and the center stone looks beautiful in it~

It's funny .. I find most men don't like halos!

I think it depends on the actual design and size of the halo. I've seen many halo's done here that compliment the stone and I don't find that it detracts at all. Total personal preference though.
