Because of this amazing forum I have a beautiful engagement ring -emilya style from Victor Canera. I now am shopping for wedding bands and need help. Most images I find online are solitaires with bands and not halos.

Unfortunately I have large fat fingers so despite by diamond being 1.9CT it looks smaller on my finger so I want to ensure the wedding bands don’t take away from my Ering.

Because of COVID we had to push back our Scotland wedding to 2022 and plan to elope next year on the same day. I was thinking of getting one band for my elopement and one band for my wedding.

At the moment I am thinking of these from VC but open to other designers and would love to know your thoughts and if anyone can share pics that would be amazing!

What a beautiful ring! I also have an Emilya with the matching shallow u-cut pave wedding ring. The quality is impeccable, as you know from your own ring. To be perfectly honest, I find the band too matchy-matchy. It's a lot of the same look to me, and I've started preferring bands that are different to break up the sameness of all the pave. Out of the 4 you posted, I'd go for #3, but would really need to try it on first, if possible. That's just my own opinion, though.

Have you thought of a skinny plain plat or WG band?

I'm partial to the two marquise bands, but hard to truly know without seeing them next to your ring.

Thanks! That is what I am worried about. If it will be too matchy matchy and look just like a large band? I wish I could try them on in person but I asked Victor if he would have them in his showroom to try on and he said no. We live in Chicago so might see if there is a store I can visit just to understand styles. Wish VC posted more images on their Instagram of wedding bands with their e-rings

I haven’t bc I actually prefer YG but thought that wouldn’t look good. Maybe should consider a Plat one though?

Thanks! Me too! That is why I was hoping people would share some images. So hard to find cool photos of wedding bands with halo rings online for inspiration

Oh no! Go for a plain rich YG band with that beautiful halo pave beauty. The contrast would be perfect and such an elegant, luxe look

Your halo looks stunning! I totally get you, when I was looking for a wedding ring for my halo emerald cut engagement ring, I had lots of trouble finding photos of halos with different bands. Here’s some photos I took with different wedding bands while hunting for mine in case it helps!

And finally, the one we chose:

Does your ring have a donut? If so, I don’t think a band would sit perfectly flush (unless you have a band with a pinch like the Tiffany Harmony), so a matching band wouldn’t necessarily look like one thick band. Here’s what mine looks like with the matching band as well as how it looks with a 22kt yellow gold textured band that I sometimes wear. @lizz1234 Another thought - perhaps try ordering a bunch of different band styles from Berricle to get a feel for different looks? They have tons of styles to play with. They won't be as fine as VC, but may give you an idea of what you like, or don't.

@lizz1234 beautiful ring ❤️ I love a simple platinum band with a halo ER. Or an engraved band. Lastly a band of subtle single cuts would also look lovely imo.

Here’s my single cut platinum band with my halo’d ER.

I like a defined space between the rings. Separate and distinct vs a sparkly single unit. Personal preference. No right or wrong.

I have a matching band. Like you, I didn't want it to look like one large band so I asked my jeweler to make my engagement ring have an intentional gap when worn with my wedding band.

So pretty! Thanks for all the photos. Never really considered matching a yellow gold band with my platinum halo but now I think I should maybe!

So pretty! Do you know how they made it with an intentional gap? Since mine doesn’t have a donut and I already have my E-ring I’m guessing it is too late to do this

Thanks Logan! Your ring is to die for!

Not the greatest pic for this purpose, but you can see that I'm wearing a 4mm plain band with my E-ring. The band does have milgrain edges.

So this is the Emilya cathedral with diamonds on stems flush setting so I wear it with Tiffany harmony bc it doesn’t rub on the stems. Sits low and flat. I hesitate to wear it with the other eternity bc of the diamonds on the stems but you can see how it looks.

I'm also not a fan of donuts so mine doesn't have one either. The basket was made with outward facing stems so it doesn't allow a wedding band to sit flush.
Some profile shots..

Not sure it this helps. Mine is a 1.3ct in a halo setting. size 5 finger. Band was bought as a set.

Double baguettes alternating with rounds, bar set. 3/4 eternity; the exposed metal is engraved to match my E-Ring. WG

I realize I don’t have a halo setting, but I thought I’d share the band for perspective, and to influence ideas. ♥️
