Halo or no halo??

I know ps''er are more familiar wit cushions than the general public.. and we also seem to appreciate the beauty of a halo. My poll is... if you had a little CUSHION as a rhr or pinky ring would you put delicate micropave halo around it or not?

I am attaching two similar pictures... both styles are set with stones close to 1 ct.. with micropave bands... so just PRETEND the pear without a halo is a cushion.

What would you choose?

First pic is NO HALO (just imagine cushion instead of pear)

I just couldn''t call it so it came down to this ... IF you can''t have both

how about ...

- w/micropave halo if you are going to use it as a RHR but
- if it were an ering ... no micropave halo?

I hope this helps in some sort of convoluted, undecided way.

A plain solitaire says e-ring to me, so I would definitely halo a right hand diamond ring or make it a 3 stone.

It will not be an e-ring. I tried on the halo at harry Winston (yes... they do have small cushions in the back!) and it was so blingy. The only small cushion I could try on without halo was the tiffany''s novo... and that looks really different since not micropave... very e-ring ish.

My cushion is in NYC waiting to be set so I have to decide by Monday!

I would definitely do the micropave halo. I love halos and a halo seems better for a RHR. I bet it''s going to be gorgeous!

Actually... there is a quest to find a MATCHING one for the ultimate earrings... so someday I plan to have a colored stone in setting... and then a halo definitely makes more sense.

Another vote for halo''s , not least because I''m considering haloing or bezelling everything since I cracked a diamond on my RHR.

I agree that pink diamond halos and cushions would be sooo awesome together!

Actually initially I was going to say no halo, until someone said that was more e-ring like.

So now I say halo... and if pink diamonds are our of the question, how about a stunning pink sapphire halo?
