Hello All,
Was wondering what negative effect this type of setting may have (if any) on the amount of light reflected by a round stone. Most of the emphasis when discussing cut quality seems to be on light reflection through the table/crown. What about light reflection at or through the pavillion? Is this significant enough for a well-cut stone to consider avoiding a setting which conceals the pavillion? If I'm paying for an excellent cut, I want to show it off!
