Oh I love it! I think the pop of color is very fun. Looks like an elven queen!
I really like the idea of a pearl. I liked the two amethysts in the original design, but your diamond is obviously better, and now the lone amethyst is really out of place. What is the size of the pearl, compared to the existing amethyst?
Okay just realized you said ELVEN queen. When I read your comment before I read it as “Looks like an ELEVEN, queen!” And I thought maybe you’d been watching some Drag Race tonight![]()
I appreciate both sentiments.
Definitely both sentiments! I really love it. I think that pearl could be really fabulous too. Always fun to have a project!
I love your necklace and such a beautiful oec- it looks stunning on you! I hope you are always a little giddy inside when you catch a glimpse of a reflection in a mirror as you pass by…. So may congrats to you… you have certainly had a wonderful bling year, and it’s only half over!
… gold, antique vibes, engraving and texture, architectural details, and a little whimsy.
I am still waiting for the pearl to arrive and I’m also trying to figure out the kind of chain I want. I’ve been buying inexpensive gold plated to try options.
I tried a 2.5mm figaro chain But the pendant didn’t travel smoothly on the chain and that bothered me. I think it was a hair too thick too.
I just got a 1.5mm box chain and I like it a lot. The pendant moves smoothly and I like how it’s subtle. I just want a little more heft so I’m going to look for a 2mm to try.
If anyone has other suggestions for styles of chain that have presence but allow a chain to easily slide let me know!
Wheat chain, maybe?
Antique rolo chain? The pendant is so magically beautiful, and looks great on you. Congrats on seeing this through to fruition!
I hadn’t seen this style before and it seems perfect! I am going to try and find a gold plated version to be sure.
Yes I do love a rolo but now I’m a little concerned that my pendant won’t slide easily on it, and that would be an issue for me. I haven’t seen any played versions of the antique proportions to try but I’ll keep looking.
I agree with you. I think perhaps a round pearl might be better rather than the shape you have?
I actually like a round for it as well. Provides a cohesiveness in a multi gem piece. Love that diamond too!
