For the life of me I can''t seem to capture the true color of this stone. The vender picture is very accurate (I can''t post it from my husband computer). But these are some pictures that I took.
Mercoledi...I''m not quite sure what the cut is, but it''s sure pretty.
This is what Gene wrote on his website:
"2.69 ct. This is mint green grossularite garnet from Tanzania. The stone is cut in a 6 sided round, with slightly bowed sides. The stone measures 8.71mm at the points x 8.21 mm. These stones are very rare and hard to get in sizes over 2 cts."
It looks really pretty, mochi. Sometimes those greens are SO tough to capture. I''m not sure why it is! You''re such a pro at fab photos, too. I think you got a couple that seem to be showing the true color better (closer to Gene''s photo.) You''ll have to take some more
Mochi, I love your mint garnet - there is something so beautiful and tranquil about the color, it feels very serene! I think it is gorgeous and I love the cut
Mochi,
It has a beautiful cut to it. It''s rare to have a merelani mint garnet in tht size, so enjoy. As many of us can attest to, it is so hard to photograph gems.
Thank you so much, everyone. Right now, I''m not going to be setting this one, but if I do it will be in yellow gold. It''s been a wet, cloudy day (the last few days) so not much picture taking but a couple to add...
