For the life of me I can''t seem to capture the true color of this stone. The vender picture is very accurate (I can''t post it from my husband computer). But these are some pictures that I took.

It''s been raining for the last couple of days, which we really needed...

Icekid...I just wish it was sunny and not so windy... But I managed to get a few photos. What a challenge this stone gave me (and con''t to give me).

It really is a sparkler...but the camera just doesn''t seem to capture it...

Wow, what is the cut on that? Is the pavilion concave cut? It''s a beautiful stone, just lovely!!

Mercoledi...I''m not quite sure what the cut is, but it''s sure pretty.

This is what Gene wrote on his website:

"2.69 ct. This is mint green grossularite garnet from Tanzania. The stone is cut in a 6 sided round, with slightly bowed sides. The stone measures 8.71mm at the points x 8.21 mm. These stones are very rare and hard to get in sizes over 2 cts."

It looks really pretty, mochi. Sometimes those greens are SO tough to capture. I''m not sure why it is! You''re such a pro at fab photos, too. I think you got a couple that seem to be showing the true color better (closer to Gene''s photo.) You''ll have to take some more

As always Mochi, you have great photos. It is beautiful! How will you ever set it??

I love the color!

What a unique and beautiful stone.

Mochi, your new stone looks beautiful. I really love that shade of green too.

I love it mochi!!!! Any setting ideas yet?

Mochi, I love your mint garnet - there is something so beautiful and tranquil about the color, it feels very serene! I think it is gorgeous and I love the cut

Yet another set of beautiful photos. My favourite is the pine needles shot.

Very pretty stone! Congrats. I think considering the rain that you got very good photos. Can''t wait to see more photos when the sun comes out again.

Mochi - it''s gorgeous! Believe me, we all know how hard it is to convert real life colour to "film".

Oh so pretty!!!

Mochi,
It has a beautiful cut to it. It''s rare to have a merelani mint garnet in tht size, so enjoy. As many of us can attest to, it is so hard to photograph gems.

Thank you so much, everyone. Right now, I''m not going to be setting this one, but if I do it will be in yellow gold. It''s been a wet, cloudy day (the last few days) so not much picture taking but a couple to add...
