Greyish purple Spinel - advice pls?

Hi all
I'm a new fan of gemstones so this is my first post on PS! I'm looking to get my first coloured stone... This greyish purple spinel from a local reseller caught my eye! It costs about $165 USD. Please see attached pics and the GIC certificate from Gemmological Institute of Columbo. I do not really know how to interpret the certificate... So any advice would be great! Also, should i request for more photos/videos? Thanks much guys.

It's pretty but the huge window is a deal breaker for me. Notice how it is so sparkly at the edges but dead in the middle? It's because of that window.

Ahh i see. I thought the blackness was due to the poor camera angle or something... Now i know thanks chrono!

For a 2ct spinel that's a very decent price! I agree with others regarding the window though.

Have you checked Master Cut Gems? He has a few grey-purple spinels right now that are pretty nice and very well cut, like this one:

I agree with Bex that the mastercut stone has promise. I would definitely check it out if I were you.
