Given the size of your sapphire, I think a simple yet elegant solitaire setting would look amazing. The proportions of your stone remind me of Acinom's tourmaline, which was set in a beautiful Victor Canera solitaire setting with a tri-wire design and diamond cuffs. Solitaire ring with a twist! That's what I want to say too. It reminds me Acinom's tourmaline......... :hand:

Angaria, may I ask her finger size? Does she have larger or smaller hands?

I'm too excited about my findings to wait.  :Up_to_something: I have no idea if her style is "less is more" or if more is really more for her. :) Plus, I don't know your budget, but you asked for inspiration so here I go ...

Oh, and here's the side view of my favorite. :) I'd say it could accommodate the depth.

I think the challenge is integrating rounded or irregular shapes with a very angular stone - something the first ring posted by Sparklies does very well.

Here are some designs I've been considering, but which might be a challenge with a rectangular stone (although the radiant aspect of cut helps). Some of them have center stones and others are more just inspiration for what the surrounding ring could be.
