Graining question for David Atlas

How does internal or surface graining affect a diamond on a VVS1? Is it just like any other minor inclusion? Is it a bad thing?

Personally I think they are a bit soft on grainign given some VS''ish stones I have seen have occasional eye visible graining when you get the light and direction just right.
