Hi Everyone,
Have been enjoying everyone''s posts for a while here (and have learned so much) but have never posted before. Just wanted to share with you a stone bought from GOG recently that they set into a very pretty pendant for me - i received it today!
The stone was specially commissioned by Jon at Good Old Gold and was classified by the GIA as an Old Mine Cut (even though the stone is brand new). It is .76ct, F colour and and I1 clarity which i was initially very nervous about (had never purchased anything less than SI2 previously), but spoke to the guys at GOG who reassured me that the inclusions werent visible to the naked eye. Long and short of it i decided to take a chance as the videos of the stone were amazing and i fell in love with it.
I have attached the link to the stone on GOGs website and the video of the stone below:

Here is the video link as well just in case http://www.vimeo.com/3313233
And finally, a picture of the finished pendant (photo doesnt do it any justice!!!):
I asked them to set it as a pendant for me as i had been on the look out for a .6ct - .75ct pendant for a while (old style cut) and this stone seemed to give the balance of my favourite colour (F!), fantastic cutting and light return and that old worldy feel. I received it about an hour ago - it is absolutely beautiful!!! It has so much life and sparkle and i absolutely love it. It is just the perfect size. So glad i took a chance on this little I1 as it puts some of my better clarity diamonds to shame in terms of sparkle!
Finally the service i received from GOG was absolutely first rate - they kept me up to date at all times and i couldnt ask for better customer service. Really took the fear out of an online (and international) purchase!
Thank you for looking.
