Question here: i am buying a ring that comes with GIA certificate and Sarin report, but how do i know what i get is what is on the paper. what i am asking is how do i make sure i get what i think i was getting and paid for.

Professional appraiser should be able to verify it for you.

Again you can try to identify the stone using inclusion plot on the certificate.
