I am looking to get my wife a xmas/anniversary(25th) eternity ring. I wanted to get a nice ring. f/g color, vs. One problem is she is a size 8. Not an easy size to get and alot of vendors will have to special order. The problem I am having is seeing vendors offer rings at g/h color and si. Not when as far as I know when diamonds hit this threshold they could could be h/i and si2. Without certifications the stones could just be badly cut or not matching ect ect. Some vendors offer them at 5000 while others are 7000. I am pretty confused and not being able to see them directly has me afraid to take the leap. PS Would a blue nile for example, a h color si1 be still a very nice ring OR should I make sure its very nice and go to facets collection and pay 1500 more? Thanks so much for the help. John

The difference between the facets collection bands and the bands at bluenile is really in the cut. A good cut ensures sparkle and Facets surely have very well cut stones whereas BN stones don't appear to be ideal cut. You could also get a quote from Whiteflash...they use beautiful melee stones and are often quite reasonable.

I highly recommend Whiteflash because they use ACA stones for their side stones and eternity bands. They are very nicely cut, sparkly and consistent. But I think it would be a custom ring that you would specify the total carat weight and metal, in which case ring size would not be a problem.

I''d second the facets suggestion. You''d have to double check but they have a 30 day return policy that is great for eternity bands IMO. Their bands are beautiful.

Thanks all for your help! I''m going to make a choice today. I''ll let you know when it come how nice it is, thanks!
