Found a 2 carrot GIA G VS2 Triple Ex that looks great and scores 1.8 on the HCA. Two small concerns...there is a very small feather and the certificate is from 2005. Any concerns about either?
Why does the stone has such an old report? It could be traded in by someone or an old stone which had been worn. Nothing wrong with that though. Just get an independent appraiser to take a look at the stone before you commit.
Jeffry, you have seen this diamond with the 2005 report and also seen the present G VS2. Did they look different to you? Is it worth trading the two?
As to the feather it is not a concern in a VS2. The lab report is only a concern if the stone has external damage to change its clarity grade. An independent appraiser can tell you this.
