Well it does help stretch the pearl budget further since I can get away with wearing smaller pearls

That's ok, I have a small pixie-like face and ears with fat earlobes I didn't realize it until I joined this forum Not such a bad thing though, I can wear big studs!

Here are the glamor shots of my 16" 9-9.5mm soft rose Freshadama strand from Pearl Paradise!





They are shown with 10-11mm silver rose drops (bsomlo I just love how your wear your white metallic drops with your white metallic triple strand tres chic!) I selected the first pair of freshadama quality pointed drops on Hisano's recommendation. They will be set on large eye pins (like my SoC pearls) to be worn as huggie hoop dangles.

So drool worthy LitGeek! I like earrings on large eye pins to be worn with hoop dangles, very versatile. I just discovered today that my diamond studs can pair with pearls on PP's large eye pins too (like earring jackets). My studs are 1/2 ct each side and they fit perfectly over the pearls without scratching them.

Thanks HHPmom! I have been wearing my SoC hoop dangles and I just love them! They are so feminine and flirty and very comfortable to wear. Now I am going to have to go buy some 1/2 ct. diamond studs to fit on mine Great idea, I bet they look fabulous on you!

I have freshadamas and the metallics. I think your freshadamas have much sharper lustre than mine. My metallics far outshine my freshadamas in that regard...but then again, they are metallics.

My freshadamas are pretty...but I should have sent them back. They've always underwhelmed me. I purchased the metallics a year later. The overtones are completely diferent on the two, so it is kind of like comparing apples to oranges.

I could not be more happy than I am with the soft rose strand I chose I do like their softer/satiny luster though, just as I prefer wSS to akoya. There is just something decidedly soft and feminine about them. Pearls really warm up when you wear them, you might try wearing them a bit and see if they grow on you? Or you could change out the clasp to one like Fly Girl has in the "What are You Wearing Today" thread that allows for an enhancer to be attached to it. I love the versatility this option allows for.

Haha, I wear studs most of the time too. I do love these huggies with the drops though, and they will be perfect to wear with turtlenecks as well. Round freshadama earring jackets are on my wish list for this year I love having options!
