French curve spacer??

Okay, so I have just got my reset rings back and I love them. I am just worried that the wedder and e-ring are going to rub against each other which is what happened originally ... it might be my "sausage fingers" (ahem) but I don''t want to upsize as then in winter they''ll be loose, so I wondered about a spacer band, which I could also wear on it''s own or with either the e-ring or wedder. Because of the low setting of my e-ring, a really plain low ring could work, or I thought the tapered nature of a french curve / knife edge might work too.

Can anyone advise? I am worried about damaging the bezel around the surprise diamond. Most of the time the wedder sits below it, but sometimes that''s not the case. Pics attached ...
