After doing my research, I nailed down to a diamond I think is good.
Can you please provide your thoughts?
Also, has anyone got experience with Australian Retailers?
I would like to know that with the AUD, if diamonds are cheaper here in Australia or in America.

Know nothing about Aussie vendors except that we get a LOT of Aussies buying from the states.

I like (hopefully she does too) the simple settings.
Was just going to set it in the classic 4 prong setting and let the diamond speak for itself.

Okay. I get that and appreciate it. THAT SAID, can I make a suggestion on your choice of setting? You see, as someone who wears an engagement ring, the side view is what you see all the time. So you want to get a nice looking setting from the profile if you can. And some people find that knife edge shank uncomfortable to wear.

So I would change your choice to one of these, if you can afford them. It will be worth it. They will let the diamond shine, be comfortable to wear and the ring will be lovely to view from ALL sides, not just from the top view.

FYI, all diamond pricing is based on US dollar+exchange rate. I highly doubt you will find a better deal with Aussie wholesalers. At best, they may be able to price match.
