I took another look at the diamond. I don''t think it looks like there is any green in it. I wish you all could see it in person. I''m attaching another picture, not on black, to see if you still think it looks green. Thanks for the naming idea. Maybe that would be a possibility. I''ll check into it.

Hi Jennifer

In this photo it looks far more yellow, and less "green-ish" than the previous one.

I did hear from someone in the trade, that Hillary is already wearing a yellow rough diamond found there.

Hmmmm.

Take a look at the crater of diamonds web site. Hillary just borrows that one, the "Kahn Canary". I think she deserves one of her own

.

p.s. Is greenish yellow really more valuable than yellow with no visible modifier Roc?

Wow it''s so pretty just as is, but it''s also going to look great when cut.
I wonder if it will sell for tons?
Congratulations on your exciting and rare find.

CONGRATULATIONS!!!

Your son probably had a wonderful time. What a great experience for him. Best Wishes in figuring out what to do.

Hello everyone

I just got done E-mailing Senator Clinton to see if she would be interested in purchasing the diamond for herself or her daughter.

Wish me luck.

Congrats on your find. I was there with my family, about two weeks after your diamond discovery. Very impressive.
As far as what to do with the stone. Have you ever thought to set it just as it is? My wife has three "crater" diamonds set into a ring(3/4 ct, 1/2 ct, and 1/2 ct) as well as a matched(really close) pair set in earrings. Both items look fabulous, and are great attention getters, and conversation pieces. Not having this stone cut, would retain it''s natural beauty.
We still have two loose "Crater" diamonds that we may sell in the near future. 32 pt. brown, and 25 pt. brown.
