Those pics are gorgeous!!! You should send these pics to the guy who butchered it LOL

I am so pleased you had such wonderful results on your beautiful ring. I have an antique ring that was badly maimed by a previous jewelry. Maybe Pete can help me too!!

Oh Ellen Ellen Ellen.....I''m so happy and relieved for you! It looks just GREAT!!!!

They truly did a fantastic job...

Wow that is great Ellen. I saw this thread title but never opened it thinking it was someones new ring and then when I got to it, was so happy to see it is a good outcome for you.

That is good that it is all fixed now.

It is a beautiful and striking ring. Everyone you meet will notice that ring.

Wow, Ellen, it is just PERFECT!!! I love it! Now we know who to recommend for repairs to antique rings!!!

Ellen, it''s gorgeous! Pete sounds fabulous and he did amazing work! Enjoy!

Ellen, it''s gorgeous. I am SO SO happy that you were able to get it fixed!!! YAY!!!

Heh...I think Ellen is rocking back and forth in some halogen-lit corner of her house, muttering, "my preciousssss, my preciousssss..."

Kaleigh, surfgirl, Clio, Cehra, risingsun, widget, Pyramid, ds and snlee, thanks!!

Cehra, I AM sending him the pics. ALL of them. Before, After, and Afterthat.

And I''m letting him know what he cost me (which I forgot to add, was very reasonable in my opinion). He will have a huge opportunity to do the right thing. Do I think he will? No, but that will be his call.....

surfgirl, lol @ your analogy! True.

Clio, I don''t know what all is wrong with your ring, but definitely talk to Pete about it. He won''t do it if he can''t, and it will be done right if he can.

Risingsun, same for you!

And let us know how it turns out for you guys if you do get the work done.

Ellen quick question on your center stone...does it have a very thin girdle? I ask only because if/when I ever need to have my ring worked on, I''d need to find someone comfortable and adept with handling old stone with very thin girdles. I know you mentioned Pete didn''t need to remove the stone but I was just curious about that, and if he specializes in antique work or is just a good jeweler? Thanks! Oh, and after you reply, please feel free to carry on rocking in your corner...shall I send you my "super secret chandelier" so you can maximize your occular pleasure??? Yup. I shore can use them big words...

You know what? I still don''t know! I assumed it did, as those stones usually do, that''s why I sent it to the guy in FL.

But after the fiasco, of course I couldn''t ask him cuz he wouldn''t return my call. And honestly, I meant to ask Pete and forgot. I''ll shoot him an email and see. As for if they specialize in antiques, I don''t "think" so, I think they''re just good jewelers. But I can ask that too.

Wow, it looks B E A U T I F U L!!! I am so happy for you that they were able to undo all that was done to it! Congrats!

It''s so beautiful! Just like it was always supposed to look.

I''m sorry that you had to go through this big mess, but I''m so happy that it turned out so well for you!

Just curious-what did you do about sizing the ring? (I remember it had a sizing bar on it before.)

I am so glad the ring is perfect again. What a beauty!

Ellen, I have been MIA for a while and I had to go back to the other thread to see what Quest had to fix. I am thrilled for you that they were able to do so. It is perfection.

shay

I am glad that Pete did a great job for you, but I wouldn''t expect anything less. I am lucky enough to live very close to Quest, and they were fabulous through making my engagement ring, and then our wedding bands. I try to tell anyone that I can... GO TO QUEST. No one will take care of you better than they will!

How did I miss this thread before?! The work that Pete did looks fantastic and I''m so glad that you got your beautiful ring back in a way that makes you happy!!
