I like the rope band the best, too, I think. Though I have considered having Wink make me an eternity band with some of the remaining purple sapphire melee...we'll see!

Dreamer -- thank you. And, yes, this project feels complete. The I color is perfect for me. Just enough warmth to add some richness to the stone, and just enough whiteness (especially with the fluoro) to keep it from looking too yellow next to my skin.

But, while this project is complete, I am thinking -- just thinking at this point!! -- that a few years from now I will ask Wink to find me a purple sapphire or other colored stone for this setting, and I will upgrade this 1.01 carat to an I or J stone in the 1.25 range. I mean, tastes change, and I may want a less elaborate design. I'm starting to see some more graceful, elegant bezel settings...

Alas, that's a few years off, so, for now, I am distracting myself by working with Wink on some restoration projects of some family heirloom pieces!

But I'm a PS'er, so I've got to "keep the upgrade dream alive"!

How about you -- is the color upgrade still making your eyes happy? I visit your thread every now and then; your new diamond is just gorgeous. I also visit D&T's thread, because I love that Scholdt setting with the side melee.

Must...stay...away...from...SMTR!!
