Well, after 3 returns, I have finally picked the stone, setting, and now have the finished product. In the end, I am very pleased. I ended up with a GIA cert stone from a local vendor, 2.02 round brilliant, G, Si1, VG cut, EX polish, EX sym. It is set in a Tacori platinum setting.
It was a long road, thanks for all your valuable input here on PS!

What a beautiful ring!!!!

I try this setting on every time I go to a Tacori retailer. I love how brilliant their side stones are, although in your case the center stone is gorgeous too!

Thank you all for your comments about the ring. She has never seen the setting in person, just a picture in a catalog... I''m hoping it will knock her socks off!!! I am very excited.

Now I just have to come up with a creative way to present it to her! I will post some finger pictures as soon as I can... Thanks again for all of the input!

Very pretty! You got some great photos of the setting, I''ve never seen a Tacori that close up before.

Wowza! That is a beauty! The stone is perfection and I love the setting you chose.

Magical!! That''s the word that came to my mind after seeing the first photo! I too love the graduated side stones in the setting.

It''s gorgeous! Congratulations.

Thanks, I was pretty impressed with that close up shot also... just a basic point and shoot digital set for close up. Had to take a couple to get the focus I was looking for...
