I'm sure everyone's tired of my morganite by now, but I finally got it set. My jeweler's benchman is his brother, and he was able to set it while I waited - $35 later, I'm very, very happy!!
ETA: for anyone who remembers, one of the corner diamonds was dark, but after my jeweler cleaned it, it looks fine - dark spot's gone!! Yippee!

Aw heck, thanks Lauren! More pics to follow...

Once set, the ring looks bigger than I thought it would.

Almost a full hand shot.

weird pinky.

Side profile. Doesn't look this brown IRL... You can also see the really high crown. I thought this would cause setting problems, but I guess not.

It looks gorgeous!

It looks great. I love how the pale colour highlights the beautiful facet pattern and the colour of the gold is very nice.

Turned out fabulous! Looks great on your hand as well!

Last one.

If I were to be super nit-picky (and I am), my only real complaint is that the diamonds are not spaced perfectly around the halo. The rose gold really highlights any unevenness, but if it were WG, it would all blend in and I''m sure I wouldn''t even notice. However, it''s a minor issue, and the diamonds sparkle like crazy - I''m pretty happy with the quality overall.

Thanks for the lovely compliment, TravelingGal. I tried my hand at an American manicure, knowing this was coming up.

Wow, you guys are fast today! Thank you Snicklefritz, Kismet, MTG, Lady Disdain, and packrat! I know I stretched this out for awhile, from the time I first got the stone until today, so thanks for putting up with all my pics.

Thanks D&T! Funny you should ask, I just got 2 new little guys in the mail....

Very nice ring. And, I appreciate seeing how this project turned out. Please don''t worry about the uneven spacing of the diamonds. No one else will ever notice!

Thanks Fly Girl! I sent LOGR the link to my thread, and they wrote me back saying they were going to "add a new quality assurance rule, the diamonds should be spaced evenly." I wonder if that will amount to anything...

Was this the LOGR setting you customized?

Yes, that''s the one. I posted a thread with pics of the semi-mount when I received it - just check in my profile to find it, if you''re interested. And thanks very much for your nice comments.

Lovely ring! I could stare into that morganite for hours just looking at the facets.
