Here is a picture of my cushion... I finally decided to take some pictures before sending it off to the B&M for setting... It''s not a big stone, but I love the cut!! I apologize for the "ugly hand" didn''t know how else to take the pic
Thanks for all the great feedback! I just home back from the B&M, dropped off my stone to have it set and I won''t see it for a few weeks... Really can''t wait to get it back, it is terrible to have to part with my stone... Anyways, here are the specs:
Shape: Modified Brilliant Cushion
Weight: 1.58
Color: E
Clarity: VVS2
Cert: GIA
Measurements: 7.21x6.06x4.34mm
Depth: 71.6%
Table: 61%
I know it may seem to be pretty deep, but I think the large depth is due to the rectangular shape... If you take th average of the two sides and divide it by the height, the depth should be 65%. I love the cut, the bottom has many more facets than other cushions that I''ve seen, I think that''s why it sparkles like crazy
No, not a halo... I was going to set it in a halo, that was my first choice, but fell in love with a simple 4 prong that I found, so decided to go with that instead
The size of the stone is right for me I think, because I have small fingers (size 3)...
By the way, is a 61% table ok for a cushion. I''ve read a lot about tables for RB, but not sure if the same guidelines apply to cushions...
you have to judge each stone individually...and a 61 table sure as heck works with this beauty! Forget about the numbers...and btw, just b/c you may think the depth is high as a number, it still has a good spread...stones can hide weight in a lot of places, and that looks like a nice large stone!!! And size 3? I "hate" you!!
