Beautiful choice!! It's a nice size and I love the bright blue flashes of color... I know a lot of people favor lighter sapphires, but my personal preference is for medium/darks. Can't wait to see it set!!

As discussed in other threads, the lighting for diamonds isn't always the best for colored stones, but take a gander at the ring!

We're getting it tomorrow, but I don't get to see it, so this may be the only photos I have for a little while.

These three pictures pretty much show the range of the color. In real life I don't get any of the weird black shadow that shows up in the middle of some of these photos. The only color I can't make it show in pictures is the dark electric blue it goes in some low lighting conditions. I'm working on it!

I also never realized until taking these pictures how hard it is for me to use cameras! I'm left handed and cameras are right handed. I didn't know how much I relied on my left hand to stabilize the photos until I didn't have it. It's like the opposite problem most people have were they take "right hand ring" shots on their left hands so they can keep using their dominant hand for the photos!
