finally had the sapphire set

You were all so helpful I wanted to show you the final result. I got the setting on a popular auction site. It's a 1.16 (marked inside) carat diamond mount in 14k. The sapphire is 1.24 carats. There were opinions (good ones) that the stone rose up a little high in the setting but so far it's wearing really well. No snagging or knocking by mistake. Just wanted to share and say thank you!

Beautiful ring! I love the sapphire color, beautiful.

Out of curiosity, do you have pics of the loose sapphire? I'm designing a very similar ring and would like to see how much the setting darkened the stone. If anything it almost looks like it enhanced the shine without darkening it at all, looks like you're getting some reflection from the diamonds at the base of the sapphire.
