I can't believe how pretty it is :D The only crazy thing about it was, when I took it to the jeweler to be tested. He kept bugging me to sell it and has called me twice now. I wish I hadn't given him my number. He said it was at least a carat and a half and he would need to hold on to it to do measurements. But I wasn't leaving my ring with him. I still haven't figured out what cut it is yet. But I really love the color and the rose gold setting. The diamond sets a little high for me but I'm gonna wear it as is for a little while. My pictures aren't the best. I really do need to buy a new camera.

And don't leave it with anyone. It fits you, it's secure in the setting, leave it alone!! Can you take some macro shots? Or maybe crop your pics so they show bigger?

Christina, I am so happy I took the chance too :D It is eye clean and sparkles like crazy. I can't stop staring at it. I know absolutely nothing about measuring stones, but I have this brass thing that looks like a wrench. So measuring the girdle, it's 7MM from side to side and a little past 7MM from top to bottom with the gem measure thingy. It's about 5MM from the table to the bottom, which is kinda a guess since its mounted. I am going to try and find a jeweler other than the one today. Unfortunately, I live in a small town so it may be difficult.

Given the measurements, it's probably about 1.40ct, so you did AMAZING!!!!! I absolutely adore the color too. Cannot wait to see more pics!!!!

I bought it from eBay seller who expected to get way more for it but he didn't not list it effectively. The jeweler I went to asked about its history. So I asked the seller and now I wish I hadn't. He said an older lady couldn't afford her taxes and had to sell her house. She had been married twice and sold him some of her jewelry and all of her furniture. He was annoyed with the fact that her daughter didn't want any of it. I was saddened that she had to sell her belongings :(

Yes, what a shame. Hopefully she can get back on her feet soon. I remember going through financial problems not long ago. I sold quite a bit of my jewelry, and just now in the position to buy this ring, at the right time. I thought about sending the seller funds to give to her, but I am not sure the funds would be given to her. Not saying he is dishonest but I don't know him and he said she didn't want to consign her belonging because she needed the funds right away. So just wondering if he would have her info to contact her.
