I went to a well known jeweler today here in Oklahoma and I found the absolute perfect setting today for the perfect price. It''s a Gregg Ruth 18kt white gold .30ct antique style setting for $950. Then they started showing me princess diamonds and they had a .70 E, vs1, 68 depth, 65 table, Gia cert, for $2350 and then she pulled out a .91 E, I1, 78 depth, 76 table, Gia cert laser inscripted for $2850. I know the depth and table are a little big but the diamond was very nice and eye clean. Is that possible for an I1 to be eye clean? Atleast it was for me cause i really didnt see anything on the stone with the naked eye. And the Length to Width was around 1.08. I really wanted to know the ideal scope and brilliance scope on the stone but they didnt do that there.

The bigger one was very nice and i looked at it through a 10x loupe and didnt see that many inclusion''s except a feather and a couple of little dots in the corner of the stone from the back of the diamond. Can i find better .91''s with maybe a drop down in color like a G and go up a couple in clarity to maybe an SI1 or even better, or just stick that that .91?? PLEASE HELP!!! IM SCARED!!!

Anyone?!

Did you examine the I1 from the top & sides thoroughly? Cuz you know your fiance is going to look at it several times every day for the rest of her life...

Would you feel cumfy buying an I1 as an engagement ring center stone?

You could certainly drop down in clarity to SI1 & color to G. Make sure that you specify you're looking for an eye-clean SI1 from all angles & from any viewing distance & not the standard 10-12 inches.

Here's a .90 G SI1 from WF. They could look at the stone & tell you if it's eyeclean & run tests, etc. With the PS *cash* discount, it's $3177.

Samuel Gordon does brilliantscope on their stones. Give them a try. Or, have you checked out Lewis Jewelers in Norman. I'm really impressed with their willingness to answer questions, pull out every stone they have, and have even agreed to accept a stone purchased online and mount in for me.

Yeah Upgradable i did go to Samuel Gordon's and looked around at there settings and they were very nice people and pulled out about 15 settings for me to look at and answered all my questions. I have not been to Lewis yet but i've heard good things about that place also. I didnt know if Samuel Gordons had stones in my price range, color, and clarity i was looking for. It looks like they are more high priced stones out of my range. Im kinda looking for something the size Mitchner and Farrand had .91 but a little lower in color like a G-I and clarity in the si range.

Here's a SuperbCert princess .9 H SI1... be sure to check out all the links to the reports

Thanks Alexah, Now i just hope GOG or Whiteflash get back to me and help me find the rock so i can go get it put into the setting i found.

Is there a way to set a Jubilee so that it looks like a princess stone in the ring? My Girlfriend likes the princess but Jonathan found me a beautiful Jubilee i really like. Is it possible?

THIS posted by noobie is my fav pic of a jubilee that looks square-er than norm (princess-esque if you will)
