Did they say the first one is whiter?

They're both nice...I guess the 0.84 since it's slightly bigger in diameter. I don't like that it has a feather though, but that's just my own personal thing. It's a VS1 so it'll be fine.
 
I like the fatter arrows on the 2nd IS better.
 
I would get the .8, it being whiter.

Is that .84 leaky in the middle? More so than the .8?

Because I don't think the size will be visibly different sense the .84 is deeper.
 
I still like the fatter arrows better and am also trying to decide if the stone is very slightly tilted in the second one.

what did the gemologist have to say (just for grins)?
 
they said these two were better than the third, and the only difference they could see what that the .8 was whiter. I asked them about the small table, they said that it "should" make the .84 have more fire, but they didnt say anything specific about the .84
 
and i agree because the .8 seems like it has less leakage around the middle than the .84. but they were admit that they were very comparable. I asked twice and they said the color was the only reason. so you might be right that its just tilted.
 
when i compare the super 40X zoomed in pics, i really like the clarity of the VS1. I cant tell by the cert, does the feather break the surface?

Red symbols are interior inclusions, green or black are things on the surface. I think if a feather broke the surface, it would have to be green or black. (???) Please correct me if I am wrong....

yeah, i just cant seem to zoom in enought to the cert to tell the color. Im strongly leaning toward that one though
 
A little late, but definitely the .84!!! It's cleaner, larger and the arrows are better. There's not a huge difference in the IS, so I'd go with that one.

I'm going to go with that one. Now I just have to fight the urge to buy a 600 setting.... ugh. I hate knife edge temp settings but that 500 needs to go elsewhere :roll:

Though I don't love it, I'm going with the knife edge setting for 180? You know the one. I just can't decide if I should go 4 or 6 prong, or what color 14k metal. I'm going temp because I just want to get the stone, then once I sell my ring (my FI keeps waffling as to if I can sell it now or after the wedding) I'll be setting it in a six prong

I'd suggest getting the 6 prong just because it's more secure and the diamond (at least IMO) will look better. It'll also help with the K color.
 
That's what I went for. I picked 14k yg (reluctantly not 18k) because I wanted a color and didn't wanna pay more for the from setting

I know!! It still going to be a while be cause next step is to sell my current ring, then reset this. Bit its a start
 
Did you end up with the 6 prong? I used to own the 4 prong knife edge that you were considering. I really hated the prongs so ordered two additional settings which ended up having the same exact prongs! ;( The only option they had was to change the head to the handmade version which still wasn't quite what I was looking for. :(sad Hoping to send mine off soon for a bit of a prong makeover soon though.

I'm super excited for you! I know that you've been unhappy with your e-ring for awhile now so I'm keeping my fingers crossed that this stone will knock your socks off! =)
 
Yeah I picked the 6 prong. I know its not going to be a setting I love, but I couldn't bring myslef to spend a penny more on a setting I knew I was getting rid of ASAP.

I appreciate you guys that are so understand when it comes to me and my current e ring. i guess my waffling rubbed some people the wrong way on here. I am in love with every aspect about it, other than the pinpoint sparkle. I know some people love that 04d<3 comes to mind ;)

I just need more fire, which is sad because I think the pear shape is sooooo cool. I know I will eventually get a rhr almost identical to my ring now but with a fcd. But that's a 10 year anniversary or something.

Not until like wed or Thursday :(( but its good its being shipped FedEx. No one will be home when they come by but I work right next to the main place, so I can pop in after work and pick it up!!
