Hi everyone!

First time purchaser. What do you all say about this diamond for an engagement ring? Costs me just over 4K.

GIA and idealscope attached, I think!

I am not an expert by any mean, I just try to provide feedback based on what I know.
This stone looks awesome. It very much looks like the one that flyingpig has recommended for me in my thread, the one from JA (975450)
However, when I asked JA for idealscope, they said they don't have one.
Anyway, the HCA# is fantastic, the IS image looks great.
The one from JA costs $46xx, if yours is about close to $4K, get it. I would personally get it.

Beatiful, great price. As long as no haziness/milkyness from medium blue fluo, get it

@piano, yea, this is a kind of stone you should look for.

No doubt, thing is I couldn't get the idealscope image.
As mentioned, this stone is almost if not the same stone that you has recommended before.
Let me check the GIA report # to see if they are the same or not.

Just did, yes, it is exactly the same stone that flyingpig has recommended.
It is on JA, costs $4610.
It's amazing that OP can get the idealscope image while I asked, JA said no to me.
@OP, get it.

Got it!

Hope it's good! How would I look for milkiness, it doesn't appear to have any on the JA pictures? Hopefully I am all good?

You don't think they'd send me an idealscope image from another stone do you?

I certain hope not.

If you like the appearance, go ahead. You can ask the diamond expert ( not customer rep) to examine the diamind for any milkiness or negative effect from fluo. Extra assurance. Does not hurt to ask.

Did OP find this stone on JA, or on a different vendor? Could explain IS and price diff?

It is not that unusual to find the same stone offered by different vendors at different pricing. If you add any PS discount, the difference can get even larger. Gotta shop around

Hey all!

Any feedback on the IS image?

I have already purchased the stone, but am pretty curious to know what the IS image says to people. It has been really interesting to learn all the little details that go into making a diamond do what it does, and it would be cool to hear what everyone thinks about the IS image.

Happy to post a pic of the actual when it arrives, to let other newbies like me have a side by side comparison.

The IS image is not perfect. It has a few patches of white (light leakage) and a ring of slight light leakage under the table. Nothing detrimental.

This is a super ideal. See how more solid red it is throughout under the table.

This is a ES selection from WF. Notice more noticeable light leakage under the table. Still beautiful diamond.

Something similar to your diamond (in 4Cs)

So.. based on the IS alone, your stone is a top performing GIA XXX, near super ideal. It is a steal at $4k (as long as if you don't mind med fluo)
I also love those fat arrows from 75% lower girdle length.

It is likely to have great light return and contrast.
