Feedback on 2.05c diamond (GIA report included)

Pavilion angle is too deep, resulting in light leakage.

So it won't sparkle too much? I noticed the 41.4% number... So doesn't matter if it's excellent cut and triple X?
He claimed is Hearts and Arrows too...

it should sparkle very well. but you can easily do better. why settle?

So what should I look for then? I thought with Excellent cut and triple X i was done :). Is it easy to find a better stone?
thanks again!

Generally speaking, no pavilion angles past 41.2. 41.4 can be done well but it is done badly more often than not, best to just avoid.

it is kind of hard to distill "what to look for" into an easy post, it is easier if you let us know what you are looking for, if you are shopping online.

If you want to stick with your local jeweler, GIA EX or AGS 0 with HCA under 2.5 is a good starting point. https://www.pricescope.com/tools/hca

thanks again. I was looking for a very good stone, considering the "investment". Everything looked great on paper about that stone but the 41.4 value :). So if I enter correctly the information in the tool you sent, I get

Selected: 62.8% depth, 57% table, 34.5° crown angle, 41.4° pavilion angle
The result is for a symmetrical diamond with a medium girdle and very good polish
HCA scores were adjusted Dec. 15, 2001 and Feb. 6, 2003.

Total Visual Performance 4.8 - Good - Only if price is your main criterion

correct?

So in general, is better to trust these tools vs. the recommendation of a local, trusted, store?

Yes, you used HCA correctly. As I said, it will still be very sparkly under the right conditions, and for some people that will be good enough.

I love Crafted by Infinity stones. You'll have a stone that's a all around performer and you've probably never seen anything like it. I can't wait to hear your reaction when you see it, please come back and post your thoughts and photos pleasy, please!!! :appl:  :cheeky:

You just cannot go wrong with an Infinity diamond, that would be a stunning choice and fantastic vendor to boot!
