Fancy Tahitian

Big shout out to @molinePDG for sourcing this gorgeous Tahitian for me to compliment my Handama/ten-nyo Akoya bracelet as an accent pearl that ties it together with my Tahitians MoP pendant.

I asked Andrew how he would describe the color so I can work on learning the lingo. It’s like colored gems all over again. Here was the answer: “
Well. Description is a tough one . Tahitians are so colorful that is hard to categorize each and every shade. First, I would categorize that pearl as fancy color (as opposed to a solid gray or beige or something), and peacock is a subset of fancy color as is this particular color.

To make it most specific I would say fancy color, green peacock (sunset) with copper/bronze overtones”

The Tahitian is 9.3mm and the akoyas around 8.6 but due to the darker color they look about the same!

They really are super luscious. I love staring at them even though it’d probably be better for the pearl longevity if I put them in a necklace that got banged around less lol.

Although I did remove the gold beads this time around since all the info I got about metal against pearl being too abrasive. This reknot I also changed the clasp to something more tradition which unfortunately meant this is a bit longer and looser now. Hopefully I get used to it. Definitely no danger of fall off, just weird to feel it move so much lol.
